Year 11 course is the second year of the two year GCSE course. It covers these topics:
- Earth and Useful Resources
- Useful Industrial Processes
- Water (Separate Science students only)
- Analytical Chemistry (Separate Science students only)
Additionally, 25% of the GCSE is based on coursework. One investigation and, optionally, other pieces of coursework will be carried out during the year.
Each pupil has been issued with a copy of Key Science - Chemistry, by Eileen Ramsden.
The GCSE trial examination takes place immediately after the Christmas holiday.
