Letter from Pat Hart and guide dog, pebbles

“As a listener to the Lewisham Talking Newspaper, I want to say thank you to St Dunstan’s for the taped magazine which we all received a fortnight ago.  I did enjoy it, and it was so good to hear that pupils from St Dunstan’s were recording for us again.  Thank you all very much indeed for the trouble you have taken to provide us with an interesting tape. I felt the subject matter was well chosen and well presented.  I enjoyed the quiz and did well on some of the questions, but not all! With best wishes to you all and many thanks for the time and trouble you have taken. I shall look forward to hearing your next magazine”.

4) AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

-VARIOUS

Are you interested in human rights and international politics? Get involved in campaigning. (PAG)

5) VISITING THE ELDERLY – MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS

Volunteer to visit the elderly at local residential homes and learn to establish valuable relationships. (KS)

We have been going to Penerly Lodge since Year 9, and we find it very rewarding.  After such a long time we have got to build up a real friendship with many of the residents.  It’s good to see them on a regular basis, and you can tell from their faces how pleased they are to see us  (SDC students)
