THE APPROACH

Our teaching of the subject attempts to broaden, and deepen the student’s understanding of the ever-changing world in which they live today. We are an extremely experienced department, as can be seen from the photo below, with a dynamic and forward thinking approach to teaching Geography at St. Dunstan’s College. With the introduction of new textbooks in Key Stage 3, the continuing development of new resources and the planning of greater fieldwork we are looking to enhance the progress of all students as well as stretching the most able. Students’ progress, in all years, is also enhanced by staff training which is an integral part of the Geography Department’s development plan allowing members of the department to keep abreast of current advancements in the teaching of Geography.
