PSHE and Citizenship

Elements of Citizenship are covered through the common curriculum in years 7, 8 & 9 as well as the PSHE course. In Years 10 & 11 some elements are already covered through RS, History, Geography and English.

The Politics Department realises the increasing emphasis on the concept of Citizenship and promotes opportunities for students in all year groups who do not study politics to get involved in activities that help further knowledge and understanding in this area. Teams are entered for national competitions, and public figures are invited to speak at the College.
