Virginie Salin – Head of MFL Department
Virginie Salin, is Head of Modern Languages. She has an MA
from both Rouen University and Newcastle University and studied for her PGCE at
the latter. Virginie is also a Sixth Form tutor.
Amor is a Sociology graduate from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. During her 4th year she gained a scholarship to participate in the Erasmus programme (a European exchange programme for University students) and studied for a Diploma in Social Anthropology at the University of Kent.
When Amor completed her degree she came to London, where she studied for a M.Sc. in Gender and Development at the London School of Economics.
Her last teaching post was at Coopers College, where she was
in charge of Spanish and also taught French for four years.
Jacques Brown graduated in Modern Languages at Bristol UWE
and followed his studies with an MA at Durham University. He recently completed
his PGCE at Sussex University with distinction and joined St Dunstan's in
September 2004.
Alan Johnston joined St
Dunstan's College as Head of Sixth Form and teacher of Spanish and French in
September 2004. He graduated with an MA from Edinburgh University before moving
to Spain for nine years. He is a Member of the Institute of Linguists and joins
us from an HMC school in Edinburgh where he worked for the past 12 years.
Concha Lopez is a native Spanish speaker from Seville, but
has been living in London for a few years.
